I used search option to see if it had been asked before, but did not find anything.
Some P-01 got a gap where the magazine release is locked. What I was able to understand early models did not had the gap.

Can some one give me more information on this?

08 and have gap.

probably has something to do with the mold.  needed extra reinforcement on the mold at that point?

Because if it was a bad thing, CZ wouldn't do it. And, no, I'm not saying that P-01s without the gap are bad, just answering your question.

ETA: The gap also means you have a later version of the pistol. That has to be good, no?
