I have been emailing back and forth with "Neale" from CZ-USA.  Says CZ will take care of the problem, but presently wants me to pay to ship the pistol. Roll Eyes

I'm not very happy about having to pay 50 bucks on top of the original purchase price AND be without my carry gun for however long the repair or replacement takes. Cry

It seems like many of you here have had CZ-USA absorb the shipping costs, right?

It seems there are conflicting reports on this shipping issue.  Mine was paid by CZ both to CZ and the return to me. Others have reported that it was a CZ paid one way matter.  I still maintain that the retailers should do this for the Customer BEFORE IT EVER SEES THE SHELF!!!! There is a Mom & Pop store in Central Indiana doing this.  You can bet it won't be Gander, Bass Pro or Cabelas. The Walmart of sporting goods.  I bought a P-07 as a throw away / hide-out gun.  Something that I don't sweat losing.  But, if this was a Primary carry piece, and I was an average guy I'd be livid. CZ should have issued a recall or at least an information letter to the Distributors to check them and return for a repair/replacement. I believe that of all the issues ever brought forward to this forum this the "Big Kahuna".

Just heard back from Neale - CZ will be taking care of the shipping both ways! Grin

I think the only people getting free shipping are the ones asking for it.  The person I spoke to was hesitant to even call the mag drop a warranty issue, and only begrudgingly offered me a return authorization.  Instead he said the "first gen" p07 has a mag brake as a feature; never mind the quickness with which the "mag brake" has disappeared.

I'm too lazy to check back, but I believe there was a post some time back about a p07 owner with FO sights getting them swapped for free when the gun was back to the factory.  Food for thought.

They are easy to take off.  Only took 5 minutes this morning to remove the FO sights.  HOw pissed would I have been if they sent me a new gun without my FO sights swapped?  I put the original sights back on in case they want to fire it.

Cost me $50! to ship the pistol.  Reading the warranty card it says that CZ will pay for shipping if items are covered under a legitimate warranty repair - but I guess they have to inspect the weapon first.

Fed Ex is pretty easy to work with - just went up, told it was a firearm in the box and sent it off.  No muss, no fuss.

Hope it comes back soon, I miss it already!!

Well I sent my Duty P-07 off for RMA on March 17th and I called to check on the status of the repair on Thursday and they stated the gun was not repairable and they are not expecting a shipment for another 3 to 4 weeks.

Well they got my P-07 yesterday morning.

Now the waiting game begins....

I miss it already.

Your post got me thinking, what CZ would I take in place of a P-07....hmmm.

CZ-75 Compact?  I want cocked and locked....

I got a card in the mail yesterday stating that they received my pistol and I should wait at least 4-6 weeks before contacting them regarding status. Shocked

But checking this thread would seem to indicate a longer wait than that at present! Angry

This is my only firearm and I used it as a daily carry, selling a reliable Jericho 941 in order to purchase it.  I am now weaponless for who knows how long as I somply cannot afford to purchase another firearm.

Damn.

That sucks!

I haven't gotten a card from them but checked my Fed Ex tracking to know that they signed for it Monday.

Well, I emailed Neale yesterday and asked him about the lengthy delay, and stated that, if this delay were in fact true, I would like my P-07 replaced with a RAMI or another cost-comparable pistol from CZ.  Waiting to hear back.

As I mentioned, I sold a PERFECTLY working 9mm Jericho so that I could buy my P-07. As a result, I am currently WITHOUT a pistol AT ALL!  How CZ rectifies this situation WILL determine any future purchases on my part, as well as any recommendations i will make to others.  Going unarmed for 2 months because of a defective firearm is entirely unnacceptable to me.
